The Peruvian Paso or Peruvian Horse is a breed of light saddle horse known for its smooth ride. It is distinguished by a natural, four-beat, lateral gait called the paso llano.
In the decade of the 1540’s Francisco de Carabantes created the Tacama Vineyard, which is the oldest in Peru, and from where the grapevine was disseminated to Chile and Argentina.
Peru is close to being the main exporter of blueberries in the world and probably the second or third of the largest producers.
Perched on the saddle of a mountain 2,430 metres above sea level, the citadel of Machu Picchu is thought to have played an important role in the religion of the sun-worshipping.

The Peruvian Paso horse is an equine race native to Peru, a descendant of the horses introduced during the Conquest and the early days of the Viceroyalty. The climate, soils and pastures of Peru, was forming horses of great musculature, compact tendons and hard hooves.
