
Machu Picchu leads Peru’s tourism in the first two months of 2025
Machu Picchu continues to consolidate as the main tourist destination in Peru, registering more than 190,000 visitors in the first two months of 2025
During the first quarter of 2019, agricultural exports from Peru grew by 5.7%
For the first three months of the year, Peruvian agricultural exports reached 1,632 million dollars which is 5.7% compared to 2018, where the figure of 1,544 million dollars was obtained.
According to the report of the General Directorate of Monitoring and Evaluation of Policies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (Minagri), the basket of agro-export highlighted by having a greater placement of fruits and vegetables.
The grapes, mangoes, fresh blueberries, coffee, fresh asparagus and prepared for animal feed are the products that lead the ranking in the first 3 months of 2019, giving a total of 52% of exports.
In detailed information, placements made outside of fresh grapes reached US $ 397 million (+33%), fresh blueberries with US $ 87 million (+ 79%), frozen mango with US $ 48 million (10 %), the pomegranate with US $ 33 million (+17%) and finally, the asparagus prepared without freezing some US $ 26 million (+ 1%), among others.
