
Peru to Host the 128th Session of the UN Tourism Executive Council
Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism announced that the country will host the 128th Session of the UN Tourism Executive Council
During the first four months of this year, Peru exported 7,204,382 kilos of canned mangoes for an FOB value of US $ 12,125,265. These figures show a moderate decrease from the 8,315,004 kilos shipped abroad in the same period last year for a value of US $ 12,877,022.
According to the portal Agrodata Peru, the largest destination of these Peruvian shipments between January and April 2019 was the United States, where placements were achieved for US $ 6,970,757 (57% of total domestic shipments).
Chile was next placed with US $ 1,355,466, the Netherlands with US $ 1,256,165, Canada with US $ 1,046,084, South Korea with US $ 834,522 and others with smaller amounts that together amounted to US $ 662,271.
Meanwhile, among the largest export companies in the category was Gandules INC SAC with sales of US $ 7,054,079, Agroindustrias AIB SA with US $ 1,577,487, Agromar Industrial SA with US $ 814,761, Selva Industrial SA with US $ 677,504, Frutos Tongorrape SA with US $ 453,743, Quicornac SAC with US $ 469,312, Agrofrutos Trading SA with US $ 395,340, Virú SA with US $ 167,846 and others with smaller amounts that together amounted to US $ 515,193.
