Differences between Vinicunca and Palcoyo

Cusco is one of the most visited destinations by tourists and without a doubt our region has one of the most impressive and beautiful landscapes. A large number of travelers are always looking for new attractions, adventures and without a doubt our great Apus will always be an unmissable option among which we have the Mountain of Colors Vinicunca and Palcoyo.

The Mountain of 7 colours or Vinicunca
Worldwide known as the 7-color mountain stands out for its slopes and summits of which the colors that range from turquoise, lavender, brown and gold stand out.

A unique experience for those who like adventure, which became known due to global warming specifically because of the melting of the ice that covered it.
It has a height of 5200 m.a.s.l. and to be able to arrive there is a walk of 2 to 3 hours approximately on the round trips, it presents moderate difficulty to be able to arrive, the best time of visit is from April to November.

The Rainbow Mountain of Palcoyo

Unlike Vinicunca, Palcoyo is a much more accessible attraction and does not require an extensive hike, making the route lighter and more perfect for those who wish to trek.

Palcoyo currently receives a small number of tourists, due to its recent discovery. Therefore, it should be a priority if you find yourself in the city of Cusco where you will be surprised by the fascinating landscapes.
It has a height of 4900 m.a.s.l. and is 1 hour and a half walk round trip, it has a low difficulty and like Vinicunca the best time to visit is from April to November.
