The Huascaran National Park, located north of the city of Lima in an area of 340.00 hectares, in the highlands of the Ancash region, has become the ideal place for Peruvian and foreign tourists seeking tourism experiences from Nature and adventure.
The good state of conservation of this protected natural area, managed by the National Service of Protected Natural Areas (Sernanp), the services aimed at visitors and the excellent climate have turned the Huascaran National Park into a place that is trending in this period of the year. .
According to Sernanp, 22,867 tourists evaluated the park during the long weekend of Independence Day, 182% more compared to last year (8,097).
The increase in the number of visits produced an estimated economic impact of S / 7.3 million (approximately US $ 2.1 million) in the local population, as a result of the expense incurred by visitors.
