ayara is being produced by Cesar Zelada and the production company Tunche Films, and hopes to reach several cinemas in Latin America.
Without a doubt, cinema in Peru is an industry that is constantly growing. However, it is still risky to produce films, even more so if they are animations, and even more so in a health emergency situation such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, a Peruvian film is being made in 3D, which will take the Inca Empire as its scenery.
This is Kayara, a story of a young native girl who will fight to become a chasqui, which is directed by César Zelada and the production company Tunche Films. The film will be composed of several quality animations and aims to become a commercial and attractive project to reach various cinemas in Latin America. The film will be set in different areas of the Tahuantinsuyo, especially in Machu Picchu. The film will be presented by 2022.
In fact, the directors of Kayara published a teaser about the premiere of the film. The idea is to show the empowerment of women in the Inca era, in order to show that the female gender was also in the ability to develop different roles. It should be remembered that the highest positions were occupied by men and that the chasquis’ job was done by them.
