Machu Picchu continues to consolidate as the main tourist destination in Peru, registering more than 190,000 visitors in the first two months of 2025
The airline Latam made direct flight inauguration between the cities of Cusco and La Paz (Bolivia), which will depart with five weekly frequencies and operated by Airbus A319.
The flight LA2379 operated by Latam Airlines Peru will depart every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from Cusco at 08:45 Hrs., arriving at La Paz at 10:57 Hrs. While the return flight LA2378 will depart from La Paz at 11: 37 Hrs. Arriving in Cusco at 12:52 Hrs. having the same days of operation.
In statements by the General Manager of Latam, Manuel Van Oordt said: “As part of our commitment to offer the best unprecedented connectivity in Latin America and the development of responsible tourism in the region, we started our second direct international flight from Cusco, departing La Paz (Bolivia) The first was inaugurated last year to Santiago de Chile, thus consolidating our 35 direct destinations from Peru to the exterior.”He also said that the new route is expected to allow more Bolivian tourists to visit the imperial city of Cusco, in the same way passengers from the United States, Australia and Europe will have the possibility to reduce travel times and to know both cities.
It is important to note that this direct flight between Cusco –
La Paz (Bolivia) is the second one that Latam Airlines Peru operates in terms of international destination, since the first one was Cusco – Santiago de Chile.
