Mincetur & Indecopi present an informative guide “Traveller on Route”
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), in coordination with the National Institute for the Defence of Competition and Intellectual Property Protection (Indecopi), presented the informative guide ‘Viajero en Ruta’ (Traveller on the Road), a digital tool that provides key and up-to-date information for tourists.
The tool offers recommendations for the safe contracting of tourist services, such as travel agencies, accommodation, transport, restaurants and adventure tourism operators. It also brings together relevant information on official guidance and complaint channels, such as the Complaints Book, the iPerú platform, the Tourism Police and provincial municipalities.
With this initiative, tourists—both domestic and foreign—will have access to a practical and reliable guide with information to resolve doubts or deal with inconveniences during their trip. The guide seeks to prevent problematic situations and empower travellers with useful tools for a safe and satisfying experience.
This effort reflects the government’s commitment to protecting visitors and is the result of coordinated work within the framework of the Tourist Protection Network. It also emphasises the formalisation of tourism service providers and the improvement of the quality of experiences offered in the sector.
In this first edition of the ‘Viajero en Ruta’ guide, the guides for Arequipa and Áncash are available free of charge (https://t.ly/BvqC7).
Domiruth applauds MINCETUR’s actions in its quest to strengthen tourist confidence and consolidate Peru as a safe, informed and responsible destination.
