Lima – Chiclayo
In the morning you must to be at Airport 02.30 hours before your departure by your own. It Takes 5 minutes walking from your hotel.
Arrival to Chiclayo and meet to our tour leader. We are going to visit the Historical Sanctuary of Pomac forest, the most representative dry forest of this ecosystem in the world, which is also the space that housed the “Lambayeque” culture or also called “Sicán”, one of the most representative of the north coast of the Peru. Today it combines the archaeological legacy with the unique diversity of the dry forest which will allow us observe the flora and fauna of the zone.
We are going to visit Túcume museum, where we will be surprised by the exquisiteness of northern cuisine, expressed in its different dishes inspired by the ingredients that nature provides in these warm lands (Lunch included). We will continue our tour in Túcume, with the Archaeological Complex and its Valley of the Pyramids, made up of 26 pyramids and religious groups on 220 ha. Túcume is the largest open-air archaeological complex in the world, in the middle of an arid desert with a beautiful dry carob forest. In Túcume we can also visit its recently inaugurated Site Museum, which won the award for “Best World Project” in the framework of the World Travel Market 2015.

Chiclayo – Chaparri

In the morning transfer to the one of the best protected dry forest areas and home to a range of wildlife, including many endemic and threatened species such as the: Andean or Spectacled Bear, Andean Condor, White-winged Guan, Sechuran Fox, Guanaco, Tumbes Tyrant. The reserve is named for the spectacular Chaparri Mountain that dominates the landscape; this mountain was sacred for the Muchik people and is still revered by Shamans throughout Peru. It is now a model community-led conservation and ecotourism project where local people benefit from protecting their natural resources. Additionally Chaparri is the centre for scientific investigation into dry forest ecosystems and the species that live there.
The stay in the reserve will be used to take photos of the spectacular Spectacled Bear and other species. It should be taken into account that the observation time depends on the visitor, also that the entire tour is on foot and they can have walks of 3 to 4 hours. Overnight (B, L, D).

Chaparri – Chiclayo
The stay in the reserve will be used to take photos of the spectacular Spectacled Bear and other species. After spending a few days in contact with nature, we will return to the city of Chiclayo to continue our journey.

Chiclayo – Trujillo
Breakfast at hotel.
Departure towards the city of Trujillo. On the way, we are going to visit the archaeological complex El Brujo, antique ceremonial center located in the Chicama Valley, where you can see the legacy of 5,000 years of human occupation. In this place we are going to experience the outstanding story of the lady with the greatest power in the Mochica culture – the Lady “Señora de Cao”, who governed the north of the actual Peru during the 4th century. demostrating the high role played by women in this culture. Arrival to Trujillo, lunch included and transfer to your hotel. Free time afternoon at hotel.

Trujillo

Visit to Chan Chan (from Muchik Jang-Jang, “sun-sun”), which is the largest pre-Columbian Mud Bricks city built in the northern coast of Peru by the Chimu culture. UNESCO declared as a World human heritage site in 1986.
Lunch at Huanchaco beachfront resort, with an open menu of dishes based on marine fruits. After lunch we will know one of the living testimonies of the Hispanic-American miscegenation, we refer to the Peruvian Paso Horses, considered one of the finest horses in the world for its elegance and cadence.
