Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism announced that the country will host the 128th Session of the UN Tourism Executive Council during the first half of 2027. The Council is one of the most important international bodies responsible for guiding tourism policies and strategic decision-making worldwide.

Hosting this event reflects significant recognition of Peru’s achievements and growing role within the tourism sector and will bring together government authorities, tourism specialists, and representatives from member states to discuss strategies aimed at promoting a more sustainable, competitive, and inclusive tourism industry.

Peru’s selection as the host country also highlights the growth of the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector.
