“The Safe Travels Stamp firmly contributes to the responsible and safe reopening of tourism, as well as the economy,” the minister expressed.
“Regaining the confidence of travelers is important, and this distinction will help us achieve such goal. I would like to underline the fact that we have reached the set target, which is important. That was our commitment, and we are satisfied,” she added.
Mincetur recalled that Peru received the Safe Travels Stamp in October last year. Such distinction was designed with the aim of contributing to the responsible and safe reopening of tourism.
To that end, the WTTC prepared a series of protocols in accordance with the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Center for Epidemiology, Prevention and Disease Control (CDC).
The Safe Travel Stamp has received the backing of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and over 200 CEOs, including some from major tourism groups around the world.
