Be introduced to the three new circuits in Machu Picchu with 10 routes

The Ministry of Culture has put into effect three new circuits in Machu Picchu so as to avoid overcrowding and, at the same time, providing with a better flow of visitors throughout the citadel.
Circuit 1 (Panoramic)
Circuit 1 offers impressive panoramic views of the cultural landscape that represents the citadel of Machu Picchu, which is surrounded by “Apus” (sacred mountains) that we revered and worshiped for their direct relationship with Inka wisdom and astronomy. Here the best agricultural terraces and the Machu Picchu mountain stand out.

- Route 1-A: Machu Picchu Mountain
- Route 1-B: Upper Terrace
- Route 1-C: Intipunku a.k.a. Sun Gate (only during peak season)
- Route 1-D: Ruta Puente Inka (only during peak season)
Summary
Hiking and Lookout Point: On all these routes one goes up to the terraces that are located above the park keeper’s house.Main Singularity
- Route 1-A : It has direct access to Machu Picchu mountain.






Circuit 2 (Machu Picchu Classic)
This circuit shows segments of the agricultural area, furthermore, most of the urban area of Machu Picchu, which includes the quarries (where construction materials were extracted from), ceremonial and housing areas, the main square, the Sacred Rock, the water mirrors, among others.

Summary
Classic Tour Route
On all these routes one goes up to the terraces that are BELOW the park keeper’s house and from here the classic photo of Machu Picchu can be taken.
Main Singularity
- Route 2-A : The most complete and attractive route for travelers.
- Route 2-B : Different angle from 2-A to take pictures.




Circuit 3 (Royalty Circuit)
This circuit includes the most sacred places inhabited by the Inka royalty. It shows the best upper hierarchy architecture. One also visits the qolqas (warehouses), the system of agricultural terraces, ceremonial enclosures, the Temple of the Condor, among others.

- Route 3-B: Designed route Circuit 3 (Machu Picchu Royalty)
- Route 3-C: Great Cavern route (only during peak season)
- Route 3-D: Huchuy Picchu route (only during peak season)

On all these routes one enters through the lower or urban area of the wonder where one has the base photo of Machu Picchu.
Main Singularity
- Route 3-A: Entrance to Huayna Picchu mountain.
- Route 3-B: Third Best Option for travelers. As it has a far longer route which allows better photographic angles.
- Route 3-C: Entrance to the Temple of the Moon and the Caverns.
- Route 3-D: Entrance to Huchuy Picchu mountain.
