Chanchamayo: The Paradises of the Peruvian Jungle

Green is the most outstanding color in the Peruvian jungle, adventure, landscapes, coffee essence. The adventurous experience begins in the town of La Merced, place that welcomed our brothers the Ashaninka.

Upon arrival you will find a cozy and natural Plaza de Armas, as all main stage can not miss a brief visit to the local Matriz Church, a building of imposing colonial architecture.

As mentioned before, Chanchamayo is synonymous with Aventura, since in the locality we can find waterfalls from which, in order to get there, you will not only have to walk, but also to climb rocks and even cross rivers, but you will never stop having an impressive landscape.
Waterfalls that you can not miss are El Tirol and Velo de la Novia.

The first, located 5 km from San Ramón district, is 35 m high; the second (most impressive) is in Perené and is over 60 m. At an average temperature of 24 ° C, it always causes a dip.

Also, if you are visiting the jungle you can not stop enjoying the aromas and essences of Peruvian coffee. The Junín region is the coffee cradle and the best way to be surprised, admire and enjoy is with a visit to the coffee plantations where you will have the opportunity to observe the processing of the grain and taste the result.
