During the award ceremony of the 2019 World Travel Awards held in La Paz, Bolivia. The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperu) was awarded as the Best Tourism Office in South America for the fourth consecutive year.
In declarations of the executive president of Promperu, Luis Torres “These triumphs support the intense work of promotion that leads Promperu, Mincetur and the tourism sector, which evidences an articulated work between the public and private sectors. All these efforts value our country before the eyes of the world, consolidating as a destination full of history, culture, nature and delicious cuisine recognized globally”
Continuing with the awards in the well-known “Tourism Oscar “, our country received awards as Best Culinary Destination and Best Cultural Destination of South America as well as the Best Tourist Attraction in South America: Machu Picchu.
The excellent results obtained support the different promotion actions carried out by Promperu in important markets for tourism. Among the activities developed we have participation in specialized fairs, roadshows, trainings and other activities that benefit our country.
