Since October last year, Peru has received the safe travel seal as a biosecure destination in the citadel of Machu Picchu. The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) has been in charge of banning the Safe Travels seal to different tourist destinations in our country. Today, 27 tourist destinations have already been certified:
It has been the first destination to receive the Safe Travels seal, and the preamble was the opening of the Inca citadel Machu Picchu, after being closed for six months. This marked the beginning of our tourist reactivation.
The Sacred Valley of Cusco also received the seal in a ceremony held at the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Complex.
For adventure lovers, part of the Inca Trail, route N°5, which starts in the sector of Chachabamba, at kilometre 104 of the Ollantaytambo-Machupichu railway line, is now open.
In the Peruvian capital, the Miraflores district was the third Peruvian destination to receive the seal. All the authenticity of its history with beautiful beaches, modern residential areas and varied gastronomy, and above all the warmth of its people allowed it to receive the Safe Travels.
It is an exclusive destination, which already has three biosafe tourist attractions: the Wari Archaeological Complex, the historical sanctuary of the Pampa de Ayacucho and the turquoise waters of Millpu.
The latter being a real tourist jewel recently incorporated to the group of its attractions.
The exuberant natural wonders of our jungle have also received the Safe Travels seal. The jungle of Alto Mayo and Tarapoto. This allows you to enjoy tours in the open air and in wide open spaces in these ecological reserves adorned with beautiful waterfalls, lagoons and lush jungle. Also in this region, the destinations Naciente del río Tioyacu and Reserva Santa Elena, both tourist attractions located in the province of Rioja, have already received the Safe Travels seal.

A tourist destination without comparison that offers beautiful tourist circuits such as Campiñas, Monte Potrero, La Unión and the Cordillera Huayhuash and Tingo María, already recognised with the Safe Travels seal.
The colonial and stately city of Trujillo received the Safe Travels seal. And also other domestic destinations such as Cascas, Puerto Morín, Malabrigo, Magdalena de Cao, Huanchaco, Pacasmayo and Moche.
The elite city of Kuelap, an archaeological site of the Chachapoya culture that sits in the middle of a steep and rugged geography full of canyons and cliffs at 3,000 metres above sea level, the Gocta waterfalls with 771 metres of waterfall and Chachapoyas-Huancas are the most important tourist destinations that have received the seal.
The white and mysterious city of Arequipa as well as the Colca Valley and Colca Canyon have received the Safe Travels seal.
