The 2019 edition of the Expoalimentaria was carried out and counted with the participation of companies from the natural machinery, food and ingredients sectors. The most demanded products during the event were quinoa, maca, ginger, turmeric, sacha inchi, avocado, others.
Within the framework of Super Foods Peru – Peru Nature 2019, the 49 Peruvian companies managed to establish commercial alliances of more than US $ 17.5 million, which will be completed over the next twelve months, said the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru).
“Participated companies that had never exported, but are prepared to do so, with an offer that meets all the quality standards that the external market requires. Thanks to Super Foods Peru – Peru Nature 2019 they have their first orders, and it has been proven that it is an excellent commercial platform for their internationalization “, said Luis Torres Paz, CEO of PromPeru.
The most demanded products in the food sector were organic quinoa, maca, dehydrated lucuma, pineapple, banana, sacha inchi oil, ginger and turmeric; while the buyers who expressed the greatest interest in the offer presented belong to the United Kingdom, the United States, Ukraine, South Korea, Colombia and Bolivia. The participating companies in this sector projected business for US $ 16.5 million.
Super Foods Peru – Peru Nature 2019 was carried out in order to promote the supply of natural foods and ingredients for cosmetics, based on quality, diversity and environmental responsibility criteria.
