Promperu’s ‘Vívelo en el Sur’ initiative
Promperú started a ‘Live it in the South’ initiative, which began with the organisation of a business roundtable aimed at the commercial chain, in other words, tour operators and travel agencies. This was followed by tourism fairs in Parque Kennedy in Miraflores, aimed at the general public.
The main objectives of this initiative are to encourage travel to the south regions of the country, generate a space to promote negotiation and create a space for the improve the knowledge and promote the tourism products of the southern regions.
The event was attended by exhibitors such as tour operators, travel agencies, airline representatives, lodging establishments, producers and artisans from the regions of Puno, Ayacucho, Madre de Dios, Cusco, Apurímac, Arequipa, Moquegua and Tacna. The tourism products of the service providers were focused on community-based tourism experiences, cultural activities, adventure and nature.
Continuing with the ‘Live it in the South’ strategy, Promperu has carried out a schedule of seminars aimed at travel agencies and tour operators in Lima and Callao. Last Thursday, April 24, it started with the seminar for the Puno region, where operators, hotel chains and the Directorate of Tourism (Dircetur) of the region were presented.
Domiruth will be present at the assigned seminars and will share through its social networks, the news and attractions of the destination that the exhibitors of each region comment on.
