An important archaeological complex located in the district of Suykutambo in the province of Espinar—Cusco region—has been attracting the attention of researchers and travelers due to its size and historical significance. It is an ancient Inca sanctuary that houses more than 600 structures, including ceremonial enclosures, dwellings, and storage areas, which attests to its importance as a religious, administrative, and social center during the Tahuantinsuyo.

Research conducted in recent years has led to the recovery of thousands of archaeological artifacts, including elaborate ornaments made of gold, silver, and copper, as well as other objects linked to high-ranking figures. These findings have led experts to conclude that the archaeological site had a close relationship with the elites of the Inca Empire and played a significant role within its political and spiritual organization.

Studies also confirm that T’aqrachullo was part of the Qhapaq Ñan, the extensive network of roads that connected the empire’s major centers. Its strategic location would have facilitated mobility, trade, and the administration of the southern Andean territories.
