Hilda Leguía Gonzales, from the district of Inkawasi, province of La Convención, Cusco, is the coffee farmer with the best coffee in the country. This was demonstrated in the fourth edition of Cup of Excellence Peru 2020, the recognized competition of specialty coffees that on this occasion was conducted virtually.
After a selection process, the producer won over another 36 coffee growers with a Geisha variety coffee grown on their La Esperanza farm, located at 1,848 meters above sea level, and which achieved 90 points in cup.
In second place was Edwar Toro Goicochea, from the province of Jaén, Cajamarca, with 89.58 points, while in third place was Jhonner Jhasson Chinguel Morales, from the province of San Ignacio, also in Cajamarca, with a coffee of 88.96 points.
